The Literary Society

The Literary Society of the Department of Political Science is a student-led initiative, dedicated to cultivating a vibrant culture of reading, writing, and critical thinking. Guided by the power of expression and imagination, the society serves as a platform for creativity, dialogue, and intellectual exploration.

Objectives:
● To promote a love for literature, language, and ideas among students.
● To organize activities such as guest lectures, book reviews, open mic sessions, seminars, literary trips, book circles, panel discussions, and movie reviews.
● To encourage self-expression, creativity, and critical thinking through interactive events and discussions.
● To provide students with opportunities to engage in leadership, teamwork, and cultural exchange.
● To collaborate with writers, scholars, and literary forums for enriching experiences.

This society strives not only to celebrate the written and spoken word but also to inspire students to become thoughtful, articulate, and visionary individuals, ready to contribute to a dynamic literary culture.

Political Science Debating Society is a student-led initiative and platform dedicated to promoting dialogue, critical thinking, discourse and communication. Found in 2021 with the vision “Dare To Speak”, PSDS has conducted sessions that discussed issues ranging from community to International level, debates on departmental, interdepartmental, inter-universities levels, webinars to continue the tradition of enlightening and holds the legacy of participating in national level debates multiple times and obtaining positions.

Objectives:

  • Promote meaningful dialogues.
  • Enhance critical thinking.
  • Democratize opportunities of personal enhancement for students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Improve communication skills, confidence and public speaking.

Core objectives
  • The forum will embark upon activities that center around the establishment of peaceful, healthy and gender sensitive society.
  • It will strive for nonviolence and recognize and respect women’s rights and their active participation on every platform.
  • It will strive for promoting the goals of malala yousafzai, most notably the girls education programs.
  • It will try at it best to fund the deserving girls for clearing their dues.
  • It also aims at connecting with other well-known organizations working for welfare of women, to make a strong network for future operations and workings.
  • It aims at conducting seminars and workshops on local and national issues.

The Social Welfare Society

The Social Welfare Society of the department of Political Science is a student-led initiative inaccurated In may 2023 dedicated to promoting compassion, services and community development. Guided by the spirit of social responsibility, the society works to create a positive impact both within the campus and in the wider community.

Objectives:

  • Our aim is to create a sense of social awareness, empathy and volunteerism among students.
  • We organize welfare activities such as awareness campaigns and seminars, blood donation drives, charity events and support programs for the under privileged.
  • We provide students a platform to engage in community services, leadership and teamwork.
  • We collaborate with NGOs, welfare organizations for impactful outreach.
  • Provide and support assistance to deserving students within university.

 

This society strives not only to extend help to those in needs but also to inspire students to become responsible citizens, ready to contribute towards building a just, caring and progressive society
